The Dirty Olive necklace

Some girls want diamonds. She wants the olive.

I wanted to design a new necklace that was equal parts whimsical and elegant. One of my favorite things to do is to go out with my girlfriends and fine the best, and dirtiest, martini with extra olives. These nights are always full of laughter and stories and we always end the night leaving with our cups full and our hearts and heads recharged. This is a tribute to those nights, and to the ladies who fill my cup. 

Carved from rich green jade and speared with a sterling silver toothpick, this pendant is the last thing left in the glass. The good part, the part you fight for. A single garnet sits at its center like the pimento, a wink of red against the stone's cool jade tone. It rests low on a sleek sterling silver omega choker, catching light the way ice catches it at last call.

Not sweet. Not subtle. Shaken, not stirred, and always a little dirty.
