Autumn Fashion must haves

It's that time, my friends. Where it's not as hot, the days are short, and you have the constant smell or intake of pumpkin 24/7. That's right, its Autumn. My favorite time of year. Sure, I love the holidays, but there is something about the excitement of pulling out my boots and scarves without the stress of wrapping presents and baking cookies. Now is the calm before the storm that is the whirlwind of "Hallo-Thanks-Chanik-Mas".

My other favorite part of autumn is getting new pieces to take my wardrobe from summer to not as hot fall California days.

Lets start from head to toe, shall we?

Big hats

This summer I fell in love with a Panama hat. It was large, went with every summer dress, and saved me on days when I couldn't be bothered to wash my hair. Check out this photo of me at Ohana Fest this past September.

Big felt hats! Basically the fuzzy, warm, fall version of a Panama hat. Perfect!

Anything Rose gold and geometric

Rose gold is still hot and fun. These Elissar diamond triangle studs are perfect for everyday and can take you from summer to fall with ease. These earrings can take you from work to play with ease.

The best part about these earrings is that they come with a detachable bar you can easily slide on transform your look. The "front and back" earrings are a trend that I love and adds an edgy look.

*Pro tip* the detachable bar can be worn with any other stud earring you have! Now you can update all of your stud earrings, and create as many looks as you want.

Oversized Blazers

So remember how the 90's are back, well here is a huge 90's trend that is back with a vengeance. Large blazers are a fall fashion staple you need. Run, don't walk, and get yourself one. Seriously, she will be perfect for work or even on a night out with the girls. Dress it up over a pair of black skinny trousers (lets be honest, leggings) or wear it over some torn boyfriend jeans on a cool Saturday flea market day.

Grey-ish nails

I know that a good dark red/purple/raspberry polish is the backbone of fall nails. I'm guilty, I have at least 5 different shades of dark purple-ish polishes rolling around and when I wear them I get that warm and fuzzy feeling. That aside, we have a new nail polish fall contender coming in. The somewhat grey, a little blue, a little beige, kinda green, maybe dusty rose is my go to this year. It's not just one color, just imagine if your favorite blue polish was a little grey, and boom! Fall polish!

Match it with other fall colors, and a pop of rose gold glitter polish, to make your manicure stand out from the crowd.

Stackable rings

Our beautiful fall manicure would look just plain boring without some diamond rings. Stack two, wear one on each finger, or just show off one. The idea is to have fun. Jewelry rules are changing and if you have some awesome rings, show them off!

Don't be afraid to mix and match your rings. The more different each ring is, the better.

Boots are back

Ankle boots are the most fall item of them all. Not too cold where you need your entire legs covered, but just cold enough that you need some boots. Just like your nails, the boots of this season are a bit grey.

A suede boot is great for us SoCal girls, we have very little rain to contend with. Although if you live anywhere else, look for a more "waterproof" material.

Now get shopping! Let me know what your favorite fall must haves are.
